My First Food Truck Experience: Nom Nom Truck San Francisco
This weekend we had a chance to do a few things. One of them was to have lunch at a food truck. I have been wanting to do this ever since the food truck craze has taken off around the country. Even Food Network has rolled out The Great Food Truck Race (season 3 begins in August). In Atlanta, they are also underway, but there are like 20. Nothing like the West coast. I did a quick search online and there were about 150 in the East Bay alone! Luckily, we happened to be headed to lunch on Saturday and lucked upon the Nom Nom Truck San Francisco and decided that it was just as good a time as any to try it out.
Happy we did.
What is Bánh mì? Trust me, I had no idea before I saw the truck, but the description was enough to make us want to hang around.
Yum. And, as the lines got longer, I was convinced this was where we should be. I indulged in the deli special (with vietnamese cold cuts) and my husband got the grilled pork.
Nom Nom! That is exactly what your brain says when you take your first bite. Savory. Tangy. Amazing Bánh mì. Thanks Nom Nom Truck for a great first time food truck experience! I hope everyone gets to try a Bánh mì sandwich at some point. It’s worth the hunt.

Okay, moment of truth here…I’ve never had the pleasure of eating at/from a food truck =( . But I’ve always wanted to. I love the Great Food Truck Race and always find myself fantasizing about having my own food truck. I live in a college town, so surely it would be the perfect place for one! Thanks so much for sharing this, I just wish I was there…looks fantastic!
My husband and I were just talking about how a food truck would be great to take to a game. Show up at all of the tailgates and you are set!
Oh, yummy! I am totally craving bahn mi for lunch now…
