6 Food Blogs You SHOULD Be Reading {But May Not Know About}
Last week, I told you about 5 Top Blogs that may have not been on your radar. Today, I’ve got 6 smaller blogs that you should know about. Now, when I say smaller, I don’t mean that they have 50 readers. These blogs are pretty popular and they have subscribers and followers in all forms. I started with a list of 5, but had to make it 6 because I couldn’t decide. Let me preface this post by saying that there are PLENTY of blogs out there (small, medium, huge) and I am not claiming to have the lowdown on all of them. The criteria I am basing this on is 1) blogs strictly from my google reader subscription and 2)blogs with 1000 or less Google reader subscribers. Now on to it …
Ali. is. awesome. Not only does she have easy recipes that anyone can whip up, she also writes posts to help out her fellow bloggers. She totally gives back by sharing lots of linky love (and hosting Recipe Sharing Monday and Monthly Recipe Roundup), featuring other bloggers and/or their posts and pinning plenty of items on pinterest for our viewing pleasure. She writes her posts in a way that we feel like we are all friends and there is a sense of community on her blog. Get to know Ali, you’ll love her.
I don’t know how Heather does it. Between co-hosting blog hops, participating in blog hops, doing book reviews, visiting and commenting on other blogs and cooking up food for her own scrumptious posts, she does a whole lot of work for girlichef. Her recipes and photos are always beautiful and spot on, and you can tell she really loves what she does.
Jen’s Cleanly designed blog is always fun to visit. She’s got tips and tutorials, husband picks (because don’t we all need some food to satisfy the men in our lives), Kitchen Bootcamp, and she shares the bloggy love in her Friday Favorites posts. There is a lot to peruse on this blog and easy to get lost. Did I mention she also does photography?
I found Georgia’s blog really early on when I started blogging, and I was hooked. I wanted to make food like her. Her photography is beautiful, and she is a genuinely nice person (see a trend here?). Every time I visit, I find myself drooling…then bookmarking.
I found Brenda’s blog waay back when – when I stumbled onto it because of my cookbook challenges. Brenda is a Canadian from my own heart. Just like me, she loves Williams-Sonoma, and she is about way more than food blogging. From baking to savory dishes, there is plenty to find here.
Great food, guest bloggers and thoughts about life in general is what Mrs. Jen B. is all about. She is clever, witty, and you just want to read! Jen has been blogging for over 2 years and aside from blogging about life and cooking, she is great at building relationships.
That’s it! Are you subscribed to these wonderful blogs already? What are some of your lesser known favorites? I am always up for new blogs to read!
