Ladies, Monday Night Football Isn’t for Everyone – Pour Up a Bourbon Cider and Act Like You Care.

We do some strange things for the men we love don’t we? I am not lumping all women into the “I hate football and all professional men’s sports” category, but let’s face it, we watch some things or participate in events simply because our significant other enjoys it. I for one love football. College and Pro – bring it. But, not all women can sit there and enjoy the game or at least act like you care. Not to mention, if you try to roll out with a glass of wine or some other “fru fru” girly drink, they jump all over you. Right?

Last week, my husband enjoyed a drink at Va de Vi restaurant in Walnut Creek California, and this was a new drink on the menu. Although it was served in a martini glass, it was a huge hit. Prepare this drink at your next Monday Night Football gathering and you are guaranteed a return invite.

This drink serves three purposes.

Number one, it is served in a martini glass, so you still get to feel like a woman drinking it.

Two, you’ll get a good buzz so you can tolerate watching a bunch of men hit each other.

Three, it is made with bourbon. Trust me, you’ll score major points with the guys.

If you want to “man this drink up” a bit, all you have to do is serve it over ice in a rocks glass. They’ll love it, you’ll love it, and they’ll love you for it.

Sit back and enjoy the game. Are you ready for some football?

By the way – in case he quizzes you: the Kansas City Chiefs play the New England Patriots tonight.
