50 Women in Food – The End of a Series
Mary of One Perfect Bite and some other women food bloggers (including myself) are blogging our way through the 50 Women Game Changers In Food published by Gourmet in May ’11. Some of the women on the list you will know, others you may not, but either way, this will be a great 50 week journey to learn more about these women that inspire the way we think about food today.
Please visit Mary at One Perfect Bite, Val at More Than Burnt Toast, Taryn at Have Kitchen Will Feed, Heather at Girlichef, Jeanette at Jeanette’s Healthy Living, Sue at The View From Great Island, Barbara at Moveable Feasts, Mireya at My Healthy Eating Habits, Veronica at My Catholic Kitchen, Claudia at Journey of an Italian Cook, Alyce at More Time at the Table, Kathy at Bakeaway with Me, Martha at Simple Nourished Living, Jill at Saucy Cooks, Amrita at Beetle’s Kitchen Escapades and Sarah at Everything in the Kitchen Sink for their tributes to these 50 women.
As we come to the end of this series – heck the end of a year, it really makes you sit back and think of how quickly a year passes by. Throughout this series, we cooked through a list of incredible women. We learned something new about each of them and some of them we personally met for the first time. It is amazing the amount of talent that has been wrapped up in this series and not to mention the delicious dishes and the taudry life stories. You can view everything I made (although some women were missed) on my 50 Women in Food page, and if you would like to take the time to get lost in all of the dishes that were made by my fellow friends, visit Valerie’s Amazing Roundup Page (Thanks Val!) on More Than Burnt Toast.
I will continue to explore these women and learn more from them and their cooking styles – I may even incorporate them into my “point of view”. Yes, I had to throw in a Food Network Star reference. I hope you followed along and was able to enjoy this journey – cooked up by Mary of One Perfect Bite. Friendships were formed within the group, new blogs were found, and I love that I was able to be a participant almost from the beginning. Thank you Mary for bringing us all together for this task, it is one I will never forget.
