Birds Eye Voila! Chicken Florentine {Product Review & Giveaway}

August 24, 2011

Voila1

Looks like something I would make from scratch doesn’t it? Well, it wasn’t – and it only took about 15 minutes from freezer to plate. I know!

Voila2

When I purchased my bag of Birds Eye Voila! I had no high expectations. To be honest, I don’t have high expectations for very many freezer meals. When I opened my bag of Voila! Chicken Florentine, I was pleasantly surprised. There were big pieces of chicken, large cuts of vegetables, and lots of spinach. Complete with a disc of sauce, it was a complete meal ready to go.

Voila3

Just 10 minutes later, and you have a complete dish, ready to plate.

The result: The sauce was creamy, but not over powering like most freezer meals. In fact, it left room to add salt or spices if you opted. I opted for a little extra salt and it was actually very good. I can’t vouch for the other flavors (and they have plenty to choose from), but the Chicken Florentine is worthy of a quick weeknight meal. I cooked up the 22 oz bag, and it was enough to serve two. So if you have more in you family, and you want to give it a try, I would suggest getting the family size.

Giveaway!

        Well, I guess I can’t be too sad – being nice to a mom-in-law is good! : )

        And heck, it was fun to see someone else as happily surprised by the veggies as I was!
